Candidate:
Petrina Maizey

Petrina Maizey studied at Macquarie University, and started secondary teaching in Queensland.

After nine years as a full-time mother, Petrina completed a Masters of Education and began English Language teaching in Brisbane universities, extensively in the ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) industry.

Highly committed to community work as P&C President and an active participant in local environmental organisations, especially the burgeoning climate movement, Petrina believes in an inclusive Australia, keeping pace with sustainability innovations worldwide.

In Forde, Petrina wishes to foster awareness that far from the cyclical gloom of the traditional financial system, a positive, low-emissions economy means massive jobs creation, equity and good health, while preserving and regenerating our unique and rapidly vanishing SEQ biodiversity.
